Admin panel for the dean (the "branch manager" role)

Who this is. "Branch manager" is the product name for the role; at a university, a "branch" is a faculty, and the role is held by the dean (or the vice-dean for academic affairs / the dean's office). They're responsible for making sure class sessions in their faculty run on schedule, get recorded and processed, and that instructor records and consents are in order. Their access is limited to their own faculty.

In the current MVP there is no separate "branch manager" role yet — its functions are handled by the general "manager" role. What follows is the target picture.

What the dean sees and can do

Faculty dashboard

The same summary the rector's office sees, but scoped to their own faculty: today's metrics, today's class sessions, the "Needs attention" feed (class not held, instructor late, camera offline).

Schedule

The main working screen for the dean's office: the faculty's class-session grid for the semester — add, edit, or delete a session, assign a group/instructor/classroom. The system warns about conflicts (the same instructor or the same classroom double-booked). It's the schedule that tells ControlAI when to pull recordings — so keeping it accurate is critical.

Lessons (class sessions)

A feed of the faculty's class sessions with their statuses; a session's result can be opened (metrics, transcript, report), and its recording reprocessed if needed.

People & Groups

The faculty's instructors, groups, and students; generating invite links; consent status; each group's language of instruction (Uzbek / Russian / mixed).

Classrooms & Equipment

The status of cameras in the faculty's classrooms (ready / needs a microphone / offline), connection checks.

Courses

Disciplines, degree programs, and years of study; linking groups to them.

Operations

Faculty-level issues (camera offline, no audio, a failure, awaiting consent, class not held) and a coverage summary: how many class sessions were processed on time.

Instructor analytics and coaching — view only

The dean sees ratings, metrics, and coaching buckets for the faculty's instructors (for context and operational decisions), but in-depth work with the observation form belongs to the quality-control office and the heads of department.

What the dean typically doesn't do

  • Doesn't see university-wide billing or workload accounting — that's the rector's-office level.
  • Doesn't see other faculties — only their own.
  • Doesn't edit verdicts on the observation form — that's the quality-control office / the head of department.

Bottom line: the dean is the "operator" of their faculty: the class schedule, people, equipment, consents, and making sure every class session is recorded and processed on time.
