Admin panel for the mentor (the "mentor" role)¶
Who this is. "Mentor" (mentor) is the product name for the role; at a university this is a mentor for junior instructors — an experienced instructor assigned to newcomers, who runs extra and methodological sessions with them. In the pilot, their work isn't formally evaluated yet — the role exists, but a rating and full analytics for mentors are on hold.
In the current MVP there is no separate "mentor" role yet; their class sessions are analyzed as regular class sessions tied to them, and panel access is at the instructor level. Below is the target picture.
What they see and can do¶
Their class sessions are analyzed like anyone else's¶
The mentor's class sessions are recorded and processed the same way as everyone else's: metrics, transcript, report. They see their own personal statistics in the same format as an instructor — and can show their own breakdowns to junior colleagues as teaching material.
Personal statistics — without a formal rating¶
The mentor gets their own numbers (talk-time balance, question count, etc.) as useful feedback, but a formal rating for mentors isn't issued during the pilot — that's deferred to a later stage (see Roadmap).
What the mentor doesn't do¶
- Isn't evaluated with a rating during the pilot.
- Doesn't see other people's class sessions, billing, or group-level data — like a regular instructor, they see only their own.
Bottom line: the mentor's class sessions are analyzed and give them personal statistics, but a formal evaluation of their work is deferred for now — the role is set up "to grow into."
