Admin panel for the instructor (the "teacher" role)¶
Who this is. "Teacher" (teacher) is the product name for the role; at a university this is the instructor. Their workspace is built as a personal growth assistant: their own statistics, their own class sessions, their own goals — not a showcase for management. The key rule: the instructor sees only their own data — their own classes, their own statistics. They don't see other instructors' classes, ratings, billing, or data about other instructors' groups.
What they see and can do¶
Personal dashboard¶
The first screen after logging in: their own rating, how many class sessions have been analyzed, talk-time balance, questions per class session, punctuality, a weekly trend across the semester, and current goals.
My classes¶
A feed of only their own class sessions — lectures, seminars, practical sessions. Any of them can be opened to see its breakdown: "lesson DNA," metrics, key moments (both successful and problematic), the transcript of their own class, a ready-made report, and a completed observation form — presented as a hint, not a verdict.
The transcript of one's own classes is presented as "a tool for reviewing one's own class" — the instructor can re-read how they explained a topic, what questions they asked, and where there was silence. Instead of one reviewer's subjective opinion, there's an objective record, the same for everyone.
My profile¶
- personal statistics and brief summaries of class sessions;
- goals — self-set or set by a manager — with automatic progress tracking;
- review from a manager — feedback that's recorded in the system, not left as just words;
- a skills radar — strengths and weaknesses;
- voice recording (Voice ID) — optional, so the system can distinguish their voice more accurately (see the "What ControlAI is" chapter).
Their own teaching method¶
For their own classes, the instructor sees how they measure up against the observation form and the university's requirements, and what to improve — presented in a coaching format (not "you've been punished," but "here's a growth area").
What the instructor doesn't see¶
- Other instructors' classes and ratings — only their own.
- Billing, university-wide workload accounting, problem groups, faculty comparisons — these aren't their screen.
- There's no public "leaderboard" — the rating is private and meant for growth, not competition between instructors.
Bottom line: the instructor's workspace is a personal growth tool: their own statistics, their own classes, goals, feedback, and hints on "what to improve." Seeing only their own data is exactly what makes it "an assistant, not surveillance" — a fair, consistent evaluation for everyone instead of selective, subjective checks.
